Raya Morris Edwards is the international bestselling author of The Sovereign Mountain Series, The Good God Boyd and Bluegrass Romeo: dark, gritty romance, often set in the author’s home state of Kentucky, published with Arndell and Blackstone Publishing alongside independent titles. With the Sovereign series arriving in bookstores from 2027, the rebrand called for imagery with the same grit. AMBA Studios London travelled from Thailand to Kentucky to capture the essence of the rural South: fibre, leather and timber, held close and lit in deep contrast.
Drawn from leather, tweed, silk and Kentucky timber: bordeaux and plum for the romance, leather and spice for the land, deep jade for the night.
A Kentucky members’ clubhouse: low light, worn leather and the quiet of a private room.
Open fields and timber barns across the Kentucky countryside.
A contemporary cabin of deep red leather, mustard-yellow fibres and dark-stained wood.

An evening film for the London exhibition and book signing of Until Now: A Life in Photographs 1982–1986, presented by RADIO and OURhistory Archives. Beezer’s archive spans Bristol’s early sound-system scene, the formative years of Massive Attack and four decades of music, street and youth culture. The film follows the evening in the photographer’s own register: monochrome, close and unhurried.
